About NextAstrology & The Big Three Calculator
Welcome to NextAstrology, your premier destination for modern, astronomically validated astrological tools and self-discovery resources.
Our Mission
Astrology is an ancient art of psychological archetypes, cosmic synchronicity, and human introspection. Our mission is to bridge ancient Hellenistic and Babylonian astrological wisdom with 21st-century astronomical computing — delivering tools that are aesthetically magnificent, mathematically exact, and deeply empowering.
How Our Calculation Engine Works
Unlike generic horoscope apps that guess positions based on broad date ranges, our Big Three Calculator utilizes real-time celestial mechanics based on Jean Meeus’ Astronomical Algorithms:
- The Sun Sign: Calculated using true ecliptic longitude accounting for solar anomalies and orbital precession.
- The Moon Sign & Phase: Incorporating lunar evection, variation, and annual equation terms for sub-degree accuracy.
- The Ascendant (Rising Sign): Derived from spherical trigonometry calculating exact Local Sidereal Time (LST) based on your geographic coordinates and birth hour.
